ACADEMY

Rossum Robotics has been running a private Robotics Academy for about a year and has developed a customised curriculum incorporating best practices from around the world. Rossum also closely co-operates with the Universities of Cape Town and Stellenbosch to remain on the cutting edge of scientific developments and educational practices.

The Academy presents a practical, cutting edge curriculum in mechanics, electronics and computer programming. Besides getting a solid grounding in the theoretical aspects underpinning these fields, students will design and build machines, robots and inventions and then program and control it from the computer. In addition to exposure and stimulation, the Academy supports and integrates the maths, science and technology curriculum that is presented in the classroom. For children who learn best through tinkering, designing and building or those with an appetite for electronics, cell phones or computers, we provide an environment to experiment and be exposed to cutting edge technology.
